Scholarship Celebration Reception -- Honoring Anne and Walter J. Gamble, M'57
Scholarship donors and recipients are invited to gather and celebrate the extraordinary impact of philanthropy at the Perelman School of Medicine. On the 30th anniversary of the first graduating class of Gamble Scholars, this year’s event will also honor the life and legacy of Anne and Walter J. Gamble, M’57, whose transformational commitment to financial aid left an enduring mark on generations of medical students. Together, we will recognize the tradition of scholarship support and the profound connections between donors and students that continue to shape our community.

Fueling Re-imagination to Advance Medical Education
The Perelman School of Medicine is reimagining how physicians are trained to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving health care landscape. In this session, Jennifer R. Kogan, M’95, RES’98, FEL’00, Vice Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education, will share her vision for a new medical school curriculum. Powered by philanthropy and grounded in the principles of precision education, the new curriculum will enable flexible, individualized, and data-informed educational pathways that prepare future physicians to deliver exceptional and compassionate patient care while fueling curiosity and innovation that will shape the future of medicine.

Breakthrough ideas only improve health when they are implemented effectively and reach patients at scale. In this panel, Penn Medicine faculty leaders will explore how health technology, data, and innovative care models are being translated into real-world practice across the health system. Moderated by Raina Merchant, MD, MSHP, the discussion will highlight how Penn Medicine is integrating emerging tools into clinical care and operations, redesigning workflows, and driving measurable impact for patients and clinicians alike—turning innovation into sustainable transformation.

Alumni Awards Celebration Dinner
Join us at Pennsylvania Hospital for a celebratory evening honoring our Distinguished Graduate Award and Alumni Service Award recipients. Together we will recognize our awardees’ extraordinary leadership, service, and innovation as well as the milestone 275th anniversary of America’s first hospital. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the hospital’s special museum exhibition and reflect on the history that continues to shape Penn Medicine today.

Parade Lineup
Proudly walk with your fellow medical alumni across the Penn campus in the Alumni Parade of Classes before joining us for the Penn Medicine Alumni Picnic!
Perelman School of Medicine alumni will assemble between the McNeil Building and Steinberg Conference Center, across from Huntsman Hall (South of Locust Walk, Between 37th and 38th Streets) beginning at 11:45 AM. The parade will begin at 12PM
Penn Medicine Alumni Picnic
Proudly walk with your fellow medical alumni across the Penn campus in the Alumni Parade of Classes, and then join us for food, fun, and games in our picnic tent on the Lower Quad. It’s an afternoon of fun for the whole family not to be missed!
Your Medical Alumni Weekend name badge will be required for entry to the Picnic! If this is your first event of the weekend, or if you need a replacement, we will also be able to print name badges on-site.
